The Archer River Roadhouse was a welcome stop for refueling and a superb hamburger (I highly recommend it!) enroute to the Iron Range National Park, where I was headed in early June of 2009 for purposes of photographing/videotaping the Palm Cockatoo, Probosciger aterrimus. Nice selection of hats, shirts, patches, postcards, and other Cape York- and Archer River Roadhouse-related souvenirs (some of which also show images of the Palm Cocaktoo). Friendly service.
