West Kunderang Wilderness Retreat - Armidale NSW
West Kunderang Recreational Retreat offers secluded fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, horse riding and four wheel driving within the property. Canoes can be hired, and guides will show you how to land a bass, or take you on horse rides through property using reliable stockhorses. Helicopter flights over the Oxley wilderness are also available. If you don’t have you own camping gear, dorm style cabins with gas appliances are available. These sleep up to six adults.
West Kunderang Recreational Retreat is reached from the Pacific Highway via Kempsey, Bellbrook, Georges Junction, The Big Hill and then Raspberry Rd.

Place is postcard pretty at the moment. Good rains have left it very green, track in is steep but not as difficult as others have suggested so long as you take your time. Well worth the diversion to stop and stay a few days. No showers here so be prepared in this department if you intend to stay with the family. I loved the place.

Wife & I stayed for 10 days. Fantastic Bass Fishing, great swimming holes. Abundance of wildlife. Weekdays you will probably have the whole property to yourself unless there is stock work underway. This IS a retreat style of property, not for those who are looking for a club just up the road. Just never found time to get back there again. Damnit!
