Gara River Rest Area - Armidale NSW

The Gara River Rest Area is located 12km east of Armidale on the Grafton Road.  The area is well paved and an ideal spot to stay and rest a while. There is plenty of room to get well away from the road. A sheltered picnic area and amenities are available. I could not find any signs prohibition overnight camping. However, if you do decide to stay here overnight you do so at your own risk.  Pleasekeep in mind that it can get very cold here in winter and even snow.
